Divinity
This look was designed as per the brief given to me by Accademia del Lusso. Keeping the theme of divinity in mind, the look was carefully designed to celebrate sustainability and its importance.
The Process
The ideation started by circling down on the message I as a designer wanted to convey. The entire ensemble was supposed to echo the power of nature and its elements. I wanted the audience to comprehend the importance of our sustenance through the preservation of our environment and how true divinity was in its actual celebration.

The wire work for the entire ensemble was an attempt to elevate a skill I had tried my hand at before. This element required me to make each and every petal of the 100s of flowers that went onto the actual piece. I had attempted this technique during my time in the lock-down about which you can read here.
It took me 160 hours to bring the entire floral piece together!

Step - 2
After all the petals have dried, they are arranged into different bunches of 3, 5 or even more petals. Anthers are added to some.

Step - 1
Making of individual petals using copper wires and resin. Which have to be placed like this to dry individually before assembling.

Step - 3
All the flowers are then arranged onto the base frame along with leaves and embellishments. These are mindfully placed to look cohesive while providing proper coverage.
Divinity X Mulya

The fabric was mindfully procured from Mulya Creation, an Indian sustainable brand. The fabric is designed keeping sustainability the utmost priority. By procuring discarded temples flowers, Mulya dyes and prints its fabrics naturally.
This concept was a match made in heaven for the theme of Divinity. As it truly celebrates nature and everything it has to offer. Keeping in mind that flowers that were once discarded are re-used and made immortal.
